lunar new year is a very great day. it happens in january and its all about a full moon and a new year. last lunar new year i got a card that contained a quarter, (twenty five cents). i also got a strawberry candy and it was good. this year is the year of the ox.

There are a lot of signs of a cat having kittens. One sign is a big stomach, and also big meows. That’s how we knew Zoë was pregnant. I was excited because my cat was going to have kittens and I thought that meant I got to have my own personal kitty cat to live in my room. That didn’t to happen because my mom gave them away twice. My cat Zoë had babies twice. Although I didn’t get to keep them I had fun meeting them and playing with them. I named one jolt because of my transformers phase.

I had two good weeks to get lots of rest and I am glad to be back at school. My two weeks were great. I got to play in the snow and have lots of fun. The only thing I ever wanted on Christmas day was a transformers animated star screen. I got it and I am happy.

My favorite Christmas memory is last year it snowed a lot on Christmas day I went out side and began making a snow tunnel and fort. I didn’t have a good shovel so the tunnels sometimes collapsed. I had lots of fun.
The Courtenay Museum December 8, 2008

Me and Ms. Snowdon went to The Courtenay Museum. There was tons of fossils and old stuff. We had lots of fun. We saw dinosaur fossils and I Put my hand in a dinosaur foot print. They had a great gift shop with dinosaur stuff and other kinds of goodies. Also they had soda there. It was new soda that they were selling. My favorite sodas is Pepsi and Coca Cola.

Everyone in our class made a picture of what they thought of Remembrance day. I was busy making a picture that is very good. It is about war and destruction. War is terrible! The guy in the picture was remembering about war and standing at the graveyard where his friends were buried. I wish that we lived in a world without death.

On Halloween day our class did safety skits to teach little kids what to do on Halloween. My skit was about getting candy and eating it; and to, check and see if the candy was damaged. I did pretty good. It was my first skit.
In the afternoon I ate some candy and our class did games. They were fun. Bowling for ghosts was my favorite.

My oldest, coolest costume I had was the scarecrow. I was probably 8 or 9. I’m not sure what age I was. I had real straw in my hair and I wore face paint. The overalls were blue and also I wore a straw hat.
Fish Hatchery October 29, 2008

I went to the Fish Hatchery on Thursday because I wanted to see fish and I was too sick to go swimming. Ms. Snowdon and I went to the viewing room which is like a giant fish tank and saw dying fish. You see, at the end of the life cycle the fish have rotting body parts. The pars that were rotting looked white and disgusting. I got to see female fish go into a pipe that led to the river. They put them in there because they still had eggs. Eggs are important and I found some that were dead. Fish eggs have to be fertilized or they don’t grow into fish. I saw baby fish eggs that were fertilized. I think there were ten thousand or so. I think the fish hatchery is very cool and I would recommend that people should go to their local fish hatchery to learn all about fish.
